RUTA MIC – CHIMBACALLE

We will visit the tunnels of the Convent of El Carmen Bajo and admire the oldest nativity scene in Quito made by the Carmelite Sisters. At the El Quinde Shop, we will taste delicious Pacari chocolates. During Christmas, the Convent of San Francisco commemorates the first nativity scene created by Saint Francis of Assisi. Around 100 nativity scenes will be on display. Each December, Carmen Alto exhibits a nativity scene with hundreds of sculptures from the 17th to 20th centuries.
